Created in France in 2000 by Hô Thuy Trang, TIENG TO DONG is composed of Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese friends who enjoy traditional Vietnamese music, especially the sound of the zither (dan tranh) and the monochord (dan bâu), ...... Tieng To Dong plays a varied repertory including traditional, variety, contemporary and classical music. Using authentic Vietnamese instruments, Tieng To Dong performs concerts in France and throughout Europe.

TIẾNG TƠ ĐỒNG do Hồ Thụy Trang thành lập năm 2000 tại Pháp, gồm những người bạn khác nhau về màu da nhưng cùng chung niềm say mê nhạc cổ truyền Việt Nam nói chung & yêu tiếng đàn tranh, đàn bầu,..... nói riêng.Từ đó đến nay, bằng những nhạc cụ cổ truyền đôc đáo của Việt nam, với chương trình đặc sắc gồm nhạc cổ truyền, nhạc hiện đại & nhạc nước ngoài, kể cả nhạc cổ điển, Ban Tiếng Tơ Đồng đã tham gia biểu diễn khắp nơi trên toàn nước Pháp & châu Âu.

HÔ THUY TRANG est née à Saïgon (Vietnam) dans une famille d'artistes. Elle a étudié la musique traditionnelle vietnamienne et le répertoire vocal au Conservatoire National de Musique et d'Art Dramatique de Saïgon dès l'âge de 6 ans. Diplômée de l'Université Nationale de Musique Traditionnelle avec mention excellente en 1986 , elle est lauréate du Concours National de Cithare de Jeunes Talents en 1992. Dès lors, elle forme des milliers de jeunes talents vietnamiens et étrangers. Elle leur a, non seulement transmis son enseignement de base mais aussi de nouvelles techniques de jeu, issues de sa propre expérience. Elle donne également des spectacles non seulement au Vietnam mais elle voyage partout dans le monde afin de faire connaître la vraie musique traditionnelle vietnamienne et toute la variété de sons merveilleux que peuvent produire les instruments traditionnels.

Elle a apporté le plaisir au peuple qui aime la musique, non seulement pour l'écoute, mais également pour l'observer jouer avec ses propres nouvelles techniques créatrices qui procure à l'assistance des sursauts d'émotion. Ces nombreux concerts, donnés au Vietnam puis à l'étranger (Russie, Canada, USA , Mexique et d’autres pays européens) lui ont valu une notoriété dans son pays et de par le monde.

Actuellement, elle vit en France et enseigne la musique traditionnelle à Paris, à Marseille, à Bordeaux (France) et à Lausanne (Suisse) , dirige le groupe Tieng To Dong en France et en Suisse. Elle est également chef de chant de FAVIC et musicienne de l'orchestre Hai Trieu Am & Trio Huong Thanh.                              

HO THUY TRANG  was born in Saigon, Vietnam in the artist's family. She began her studies of Vietnamese traditional music and vocal repertory at the Conservatory of Music & Drama of Saigon when she was 6 years old. In 1986, she graduated from the University in Traditional Music with high honors. After six years of performing and teaching, in 1992 she won a top prize at the National Zither Competition for Young Talents. She has trained thousands of Vietnamese and foreign young students. She teaches them not only music fundamentals but also new techniques of playing musical instruments, resulting from her own experience. Furthermore, she played in the Vietnamese National Festival on various occasions.

 She gives performances not only in Vietnam but all over the world in order to make known real traditional Vietnamese music and all the variety of marvelous sounds produced by the zither and other traditional instruments. She has brought much enjoyment to people who love music, not only by listening, but also by watching her play with her own creative techniques that give audiences the feeling of thrill and enjoyment. These concerts given in Vietnam and then abroad (USA, Mexico, Canada, Russia & the other European countries) have earned her notoriety in her country and all over the world. Currently, she lives in France and teaches traditional music in Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux (France) and Lausanne (Switzerland), directs Tieng To Dong Group in France and Switzerland. She's also chef of choral FAVIC & play with Hai Trieu Am Group & Huong Thanh Trio. 

HỒ THỤY TRANG  sanh trưởng trong một gia đình yêu âm nhạc tại Sàigòn (Việt Nam). Năm lên 6 tuổi, cô bắt đầu học hát & đàn tranh tại trường Quốc Gia Âm Nhạc & Kịch Nghệ Sàigòn. Cô tốt nghiệp đại học âm nhạc hạng ưu tại Nhạc viện thành phố Hồ Chí Minh năm 1986 & bắt đầu sự nghiệp giảng dạy của mình. Sáu năm sau đó, cô đoạt giải tại cuộc thi Tài năng Trẻ đàn tranh toàn quốc (tổ chức lần thứ nhất năm 1992)

Cô đã đào tạo biết bao học sinh trong & ngoài nước. Lấy từ kinh nghiệm bản thân, cô trau truyền cho học sinh không chỉ cơ bản mà còn cả kỹ thuật mới. Ngoài việc giảng dạy, cô đã tham gia rất nhiều liên hoan âm nhạc trên thế giới (Mỹ, Nga, Gia Nã Đại, Mễ tây cô, Đức, Bỉ, Thụy Sĩ, ....& khắp nước Pháp)

Với ngón đàn điêu luyện của mình, qua những âm thanh tuyệt vời nhất của nhạc cụ truyền thống Việt Nam, cô đã góp phần không nhỏ nhằm mục đích giới thiệu âm nhạc Việt Nam tại nhiều nơi trên thế giới. Đối với tất cả những ai đã từng xem HỒ THỤY TRANG biểu diễn, đều thưởng thức một cách thích thú, trầm trồ qua tiếng đàn điêu luyện cũng như phong cách biểu diễn kỳ tài & sáng tạo của cô.

Hiện nay, HỒ THỤY TRANG định cư tại Pháp, giảng dạy ở Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux(Pháp) & Lausanne (Thụy Sĩ). Cô thành lập & điều khiển Ban TIẾNG TƠ ĐỒNG tại Pháp & Thụy Sĩ. Ngoài ra, cô là cố vấn âm nhạc của Ca đoàn FAVIC và là nhạc sĩ ban Hải Triều Âm & ban Huong Thanh.
